...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Counties in Oregon: Benton, Clackamas, Clatsop, Columbia, Hood River, western portions of Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Tillamook, Washington, and Yamhill. Counties in Washington: Clark, Cowlitz, Pacific, Skamania, and Wahkiakum. * WHEN...Through Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff will result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Landslides and debris flows are possible during this flood event. People, structures, and roads located below steep slopes, in canyons, and near the mouths of canyons may be at serious risk from rapidly moving landslides. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Over the past 24 hours, around 2.5 to 5 inches of rain has fallen over the north Oregon Cascades, south Washington Cascades, Willapa Hills, north Oregon Coast Range, south Washington coast, and northern and central Oregon coast. 1.0 to 3.0 inches of rain has fallen over the Lower Columbia, Cowlitz Valley, and greater Portland/Vancouver metro. This will maintain an elevated threat for urban and river flooding. Additional rainfall of 2.0 to 4.0 inches over the Cascades and Coastal mountains. ...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PST WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Southwest winds 10 to 20 mph with peak gusts up to 25 to 30 mph for interior lowland valleys, and 35 to 45 mph for higher terrain. * WHERE...Greater Portland/Vancouver Metro, Northern and Central Coast Range Valleys and Mountains of Oregon, Willapa Hills and Adjacent River Valleys of Pacific and Wahkiakum Counties, Lower Columbia River and Cowlitz River Valleys, Central Willamette Valley, Clackamas County Cascade Foothills, and South Washington Cascade Foothills. * WHEN...Until 10 PM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds combined with very saturated soils will increase the chances for downed trees and possible power outages. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds are not expected to gust at peak intensity for the entire duration of the advisory. Impacts are more likely where the highest wind gusts occur. High confidence in at least isolated to scattered wind related impacts, however the exact locations are uncertain. ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM PST THIS EVENING... ...REPLACES FLOOD WARNING... * WHAT...Urban area, river, and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Washougal, WA and areas along the Washougal River. * WHEN...Until 600 PM PST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 922 AM PST, gauge reports indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM PST THIS EVENING... ...REPLACES FLOOD WARNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Washington, including the following counties, Clark, Cowlitz and Skamania. * WHEN...Until 600 PM PST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 742 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.3 to 0.7 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
